Yeah it looks very washed out at the moment so I'd say more contrast !!
I'll go with Andrew on that. Image is becoming solarised, but the look is more nightime than before. It's never an easy effect to pull off.

I'd say bring the highlights up rather than the contrast. (That's what I'd do in Photoshop, don't know what software you're using.)
