Oh yeah...it rocks...I saw some horrible footage from someone who was originally going to shoot our film and even tho he frakked up the footage, it still looked really clean...
Hey, I'm using one of those just now to shoot the 'making of' documentary. The last move, The Planet, was also shot on the XL1. It has a lot of great features and the ccd pick up is really solid. Great lens too.
It has however the worst viewfinder ever, focusing is a nightmare! Things in focus look less blurry than things really out of focus. I suggest a good field monitor or portable, battery tv instead of relying on the comedy viewfinder.

Thanks for the advice! Nothing worse than a great scene ruined by a blurry shot.
