Monday, April 28, 2008 idea!

I am missing is gone forever. There, I said it. I can accept it and move on. But how to move on? I could shout shout and pass blame but that would be pointless and silly and unproductive. There are three extremely crucial scenes that we must have. I talked to Lana and she told me that she still has Luke's (Clarr) costume and I know Debbie and Danielle have theirs. With all of the rain we've been having, the grass is bright green and the trees are filling out really fast. I am going to discuss it with the three actors and see if they are up to shooting ONE LAST DAY!

Here's what we need:
Lilly gives Clarr the sword to give to Gwen.
Lilly gives Danea the 'history poll' to give to Gwen.
Clarr taunts Garum and hurls his cloak, filled with rocks, at the Garum's head.

We can also get:
Gwen attacking the Garum.
Lilly attempting to keep Switch from meeting with the Garum.

showed the rough cut... a small crowd. We were missing the narration as Danielle was sick and was not able to lay down the track at studio M. But overall, the reviews on the 'look and sound' of the rough cut was good.

Found some photos that JAY took.

One of the few days that Ted did not get fired...

Shrek Etter at 310 pounds...I'm down to 285 now...

Danielle is smiling now...but wait a while...she's about to get beat up...again...

Thats right...I flick blood onto Danielle with my fingers. All the pros do it that way, right?

Danielle shows how much she trusts me and Debbie as she stands ready to take a hit to the face.

Debbie is just plain mean! I think she has anger issues...

Ah, yes, good times...

Someone needs a break...

Update...'s whats going on.

Next saturday morning we are shooting our green screen shots in the morning. In the afternoon, we are doing some sound and vocals. Then, in the evening and on Sunday afternoon, Ted and I will put all of the SPFX shots in and put storyboards in for the missing shots. On Sunday we are having a showing of it to the cast and crew to get feedback and to keep them from killing me.

Ron hopes to have the Garum ready to show...perhaps a walk cycle or action scene.

IPFW Senior Show

Sally (who dies wonderfully in our movie) has been working on a graphic novel of the movie for some time now as part of her senior project. I was fortunate enough to be able to drop by the show and see her work. Great stuff!

Two weeks from Sunday...

...we will have a private showing of the rough cut of the movie. We will view it in the art history room at IPFW. Only those directly involved (or invited with a super secret handshake) are allowed in the room to view the movie. Sean Townsend will be there with copies of the soundtrack so if you want a copy of it, bring some cash or a check book.

I am showing the movie in this state to let those who are involved see the progress of the movie. We still have a ways to go, but it is getting there and I am rather happy with the progress so far. Any missing scenes (SPFX and such) will have storyboards in their place so as not to interrupt the flow of the music and the story.

on a side note...

I took pictures of Sally Scott's Senior show in which she displayed her DA graphic novel. They will be posted tomorrow...I can't find the cord to the Camera...

Sean's DVD is released and reviewed

Sean Townsend, founder of Somnambulist Red, did a fantastic job on our soundtrack. He did a short movie "Dream With A Window" a while back and has now released it on DVD. Check out Sean's site (the link is to the right) or read this article.
