Armor?

I was in the forest today checking out the trees...yes...leaves on the trees! I had an idea for Gwen...what if she (like DAVID who wore SAUL'S armor) was given armor...and she sheds it after she dislocates her shoulder...it's an idea...

Nice idea, some bark can be quite strong if made into laminates, a bit like plywood.

I'm wondering if a totally blind group would paint designs on the armour and how crazy they would look! What colours and how would they know? I've just tried drawing one with my eyes closed, its better than my usual stuff.

Visual design elements are something I've had to be careful of. I'm so used to making things visual asthetic that I have to keep reminding myself that these people have been blind for 500 years. I think that perhaps the symmetrical armor is a bad idea...but, perhaps her fighting arm and shoulder could have protection.

Could they use metal parts from the world before? Would be pretty rusty but could have decals, may be too mad max though.

My original story was to take place in a world that had reached the same level as we had and we would film it in old abandoned warehouses and the like, but then (as you mentioned) images of Mad Max kept popping up. I therefore decided that this society never reached the iron age. Everything is made of wood and stone. So no metal on the flying machines.

...also, the top half of the armor should not look like a wooden bikini...

Just noticed that the 'vest-clothing' layer was turned off when I flattened this image to be posted as a jpeg. SPLINTERS! I'll repost the image tonight.

Turned on the 'clothing layer' and fixed the armor...starting to like this. I think that it should be a gift from either the Librarian or from Danea...not sure yet.

I really like that armor, it gives the character a kind of Samurai type feel Allen. Will you have a mock up design of a fully decked out character with the armor?

Not too sure about the mock up...hopefully I'll be working on the armor this weekend. I made two more knives this week.

What Micheal said about a design to the armor. Since the blind can see by feel, how about some kind of brail texture applied to the armor in a certain spot.
Maybe like a rank of some type, or what village the person hails from.
