Editing

Ted presented the trailer to me today and I was at first disappointed by the music...but then it started to grow on me and I think I really like it. We cut a few frames, altered the color and contrast on a few shots, added a few of my favorite shots and then moved on to the flashback I edited the other night. You see, I have Premiere 6.0...Ted has the latest CS3 (I think that's it) and he can add so much more to what I've done...like extremely real looking slow motion. So now we have an homage to John Woo as Debbie pulls off the cape like wrap she has on and tosses it aside in slow motion. I'll post it later.

Anyway, I'm off to edit some more.

You love the song and you know it! I think that it adds to the uniqueness of the film, the trailer that you and I will put out will be the pinnacle of both of our work, once we have it done, we can release it with the release of the new website, if you liked the new design that is. Nice job goes all around to all that have worked with us whether locally or over seas. Thank you all, we couldn't have gotten this far without all of you. Allen and I only hope that we can live up to the committment that you have all shown to this project.

At least I do, I was getting wrapped up in what I was saying. :)

This is where George Lucas likes to make the movie, that's because he's shot naff all and has to go and do pick-ups in the UK with actors against Blue Screen to fill in the huge gaps in his story, instead of actually shooting something cohesive at the time. :)

I hope it's all coming together in Ted's hands !

Actually we only had to reshoot the one scene because of a last minute actress change. One of the things Ted and I wanted to to was avoid the old "We'll fix it in post" so we tried to stick as close to the storyboards and script as possible...then we made sure to shoot a lot of extra footage.

Ted and I have an interesting uh partnership...we are both cutting the film simultaneously and then we swap footage around and meet once a week to critique each other's work. His vote is worth 49%...mine is worth 51% :)

COOL, I'm a partner now! You must just be the pretty front face, and I am the brains, yeah that sounds right.

Oh, geez, if I'm the pretty face, we are in deep trouble!

I never said we were right, if we were, you wouldn't have taken me onto the project, great trailer coming your way by the way, editing now while you are stuck in class.
