Speed up or slow down...
We had a situation this past shoot where Danielle was a little cautious about punching her advisary, Adam. He's been in the army and he can take a hit, but Danielle, desspite her hardened exterior, was a tad soft on him and the punches were coming in a bit slow. So, what to do...speed up the action? NO...then the rain falls faster and it looks fake...instead...we...slow...it...down and make it look like a slow motion shot.

Good thinking. I always liked it when Steven Austin was running in slow motion at 60mph and being overtaken by birds.
6 million dollar man was a top show.
What about using 'quick cuts' of the action? In a Hitchcock-ian sort of way. The 'impression' of action rather than the actual showing of the action can sometimes be more involving to the viewer... let them fill in the details with their imagination.
They're re-making the Bionic Woman... because it's more PC that way.
There are a few Hitchcock-ian shots we have done where the violence happens off camera...this scene, though, as it is human to human violence needs to be right there in your face whereas the human to Garum violence is going to be more off camera and quick edits.
That makes sense. Did you shoot multiple angles of the fight so that you can mix up the action a little? Just curious :P
