Gotta love soundtracks...

Back in the 80s (tho my first was in the 70s) I started collecting LPs of movie soundtracks. Not the rock and roll blend like "Top Gun" and such, but soundtracks to movies like Star Wars, God Father, Raiders and the like. I would lie in bed listening to them for hours on my ginormous headphones. I have always liked soundtracks and collected a lot of them over the years. Somnambulist red has been producing our soundtrack and I am just floored by it. They have captured the mood of the movie in a way I never expected. I (and here I am a nerd) have the 'love theme' they made as a ring tone on my cell phone. Yeah, you heard right. Want to make something of it? Sorry...I had a third cup of coffee today so I'm wired.

Anyway...I got a call and it woke me from a much needed nap...as it happened, I was actually dreaming about the scene where Gwen is walking through the woods and she is utterly alone and it just hit me hard - because the music was playing on my phone and I was in that 'not-quite-awake-mode-but-aware-of-my-surroundings' state of mind.

These guys, Sean and Jay, have created a score that really moves me and has altered the feel of the movie. The image below is the best way I can describe the feeling of the music they have created.

Allen, are you actually me?

My first album was a movie themes one - Towering inferno, Rollerball and other 70's biggies.

I've always collected soundtracks, got the Raider's one too.

Perhaps there was a time shift of some sort and one of us is an earlier version of the other.

I had well over fifty LPs from the seventies and eighties and lost all of the covers and sleeves in a flood. I still have the LPs, tho.

To give credit where it is due, Ted actually had the ring tones put together for the web site and you can download them as he did for me...

Thanks, I didn't call you for that, but thanks. You want to know something scary, if you are earlier and later versions of the same person , then how do explain me? I love soundtracks to movies as well, I am talking big movies like Indiana Jones trilogy, Star Wars, The Abyss, Blade Runner, Darkness Aftermath...wait... well anyway I listen to them to help get the creative juices going when I edit or go to create a special effect.

Soundtrack wise I don't think you can beat the works of John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith.

I'm the original me, as I be older than you all. Perhaps I regenerate in my future and turn into Allen, who in turn regenerates into Ted.

I'm sure all of us in th esame timeline is dangerous, I'll have to ask a doctor friend about that.
